Cyanotypes
Anna atkins
Anna Atkins was born in the year 1799 and died in 1871. Anna developed her photography techniques when she was recording her botanical specimens, she then went on to release the first book with a picture in. Anna learned about the invention of photography through her correspondent William Henry Fox Talbot.
She was the first ever person to come up with it and she was also the first person to use a Cyanotype. The world took to the idea and people not only used it they enjoyed using it. Even today people still use Cyanotypes instead of using digital and phone camera's. This shows how effective this method was and still is. |
Image 1:
This was my first cyanotype and we done it by covering the paper with different objects. Almost all the objects on this bit of work are translucent. |
Image 2
This was my second go and I think it has improved a lot due to the fact that I left a ghost like blur in the bottom right corner. The item in the right bottom corner is both translucent and transparent |
